In what was known as the Classical period of performing arts, Sophocles enthralled the world with his tragic poetry and plays. Euripides wrote plays that incorporated dance. The Hellenists chuckled at the world with its comedies. All of which are the artistic expression and social commentary on the world that they have come to know.
